Calcium Products is pleased to announce a recent hire, Andrew Hoiberg, Ph.D., as our research and development manager. 

Hoiberg recently completed his Ph.D. in horticulture with a concentration in turfgrass science from Iowa State University under the tutelage of ISU Turfgrass Extension Specialist Dr. Dave Minner. The main focus of his dissertation research dealt with highly trafficked areas on athletic fields. A plethora of other research projects during his tenure enabled him to sharpen his product testing and development skills, as well as learn various analytical methods applicable to field plot research. His education also allowed him to become well-rounded in all aspects of horticulture and agronomy, gearing a large majority of his coursework toward soil science and large scale agriculture.

He also completed his M.S. at Iowa State in 2009 and received his B.S. from Colorado State University in 2001.

Prior to graduate school, Hoiberg served as the assistant turf manager for the Denver Broncos for sox seasons on the world-class playing surface at Invesco Field at Mile High (now Sports Authority Field at Mile High).

Hoiberg is a native of central Iowa and understands well the needs of farmers and other agricultural industries with regard to soil management. He is extremely excited about joining the Calcium Products team and looks forward to furthering the company mission and developing professional relationships within the industry.
