Glyphosate & Crop Nutrient Interactions
July 5, 2010

Glyphosate & crop nutrient interactions have been a topic of conversation during many of my recent visits with agronomists & dealers.  Some articles that discuss this in more detail:

I also found this article by Dr. Don Huber a very good summary of what is going on: http://www.fluidjournal.org/1gsdgfs-S10/S10-A4.pdf

Dr. Huber has been explaining to anyone who will listen the negatives of glyphosate overuse. He tells a compelling story that makes scientific sense but on the flip side Monsanto refutes his claims. So at the end of the day each farmer will have to weigh the facts and then decide how valuable glyphosate is in his system. I tend to believe most of what Huber says but I also value glyphosate for its simplicity.

Dan,
We have heard from many consultants who for years have seen the things Dr. Huber claims and have had no explanation. We agree with you, glyphosate is simple and will not go away unless we continue to mis-use it. Our aim is to help farmers grow higher yielding better quality crops. Adding gypsum and micros can help offset the negatives that glyphosate brings to the field and helps protect yield.
